Welcome to Severnside Tritons Swimming Club. We are a new swimming club which was officially formed on 22 September 2009 from a merger between Thornbury SC and Stroud SC. Both founding clubs have a proud history of providing excellent coaching and education opportunities for swimmers. One of the main aims of the merger is to provide better opportunities for as many swimmers in the area as possible to be part of an excellent teaching and coaching set up that caters for non swimmers at one end and elite competitive swimmers at the other. By pooling our resources on the coaching front we are able to offer first class teaching and coaching so that swimmers have the best chance of achieving their full potential within one Club. With a pooling of the management resources coaches and swimmers will be better supported on and off poolside, in training and in competition. And finally by training at several locations we offer greater flexibility.

Neither Club has tried to stand still but instead they have always moved with the pace of change in the world of swimming. There is an exciting future ahead of us.
